Competition Queen - October 2009

Purchase To Win (Australia)

October 28th 2009 01:55
Some competitions require a purchase of a product although if it is something you normally purchase or you are looking to try, then it shouldn't be too much of an effort for you to enter. For cat owners and lovers of Baileys here are two competitions which may interest you.

Purchase a marked bottle of Baileys and go in the draw to win a $100,000 Bang and Olufsen Home Cinema. The competition closes on the 31 October 2009 so get in quick for this one.

For those that love to travel, purchase two cans of Fancy Feast Sensations Cat Food to win the opportunity to experience a holiday in either Paris or Tuscany. The closing date for this fabulous competition is 6 November 2009. There are also 3 minor prize draws to win one of 9 Le Creuset gift sets valued at $1,227.

Don't forget to read the Terms and Conditions fully prior to entering. Good luck!

Raising Children Can Be Expensive

October 20th 2009 13:32
Having children can definitely put a hole in your pocket so it is worth looking out for great competitions in which you and your child can really benefit.

Femail varies the competitions they feature every month and there is always a good selection for the whole family.

This month for children in particular they are offering an Eternal Creation clothing pack, a Hannah Montana movie pack, a Fisher Price trio building pack and Wiggles family tickets.

And don't despair mum or dad they are even offering some great prizes for you too such as Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and Genoa Movie Tickets, a $50 Myer Gift Card as well as jewellery from Chrissy L.

You can even enter once each day to increase your chances of winning.

Cookbook Giveaway (US/Can)

October 19th 2009 20:00
Leite's Culinaria has some wonderful cookbook giveaways for all tastes. From Rose’s Heavenly Cakes by Rose Levy Beranbaum to New Vegetarian by Robin Asbell; and Mediterranean Clay Pot Cooking by Paula Wolfert to My Bread by Jim Lahey - they are giving away over 25 great prizes.

My favourite is the Trio of Cookbooks featuring Mother’s Best: Comfort Food That Takes You Home Again by Lisa Schroeder, Cake Keeper Cakes by Lauren Chattman, and Absolutely Chocolate: Irresistible Excuses to Indulge by the editors of Fine Cooking (Taunton, 2009). How decadent! And the good news is you can enter each and every day until the closing date.

Don't forget to check out the rules and regulations governing the competition.

Oprah Giveaways

October 13th 2009 18:33
If you have ever watched an episode of Oprah then you know how generous she and the sponsors featured on her show can be. Doesn't it make you wish you could attend the show just to win the free prizes.

Each and every month her magazine website also gives you a chance to win prizes - although eligibility is only available to those living in the US and Canada.

This month prizes include a chance to win $2000 to spend at Chico's, the chance to win a $500 Dressbarn card or a chance to win a pair of Ralph Lauren angora and lambswool gloves.

If you regularly read magazines then you will know that they feature numerous competitions each month to get involved in. For those that don't either consider buying them regularly or irregularly to give you opportunities to enter or do a magazine swap with a friend so you both have a chance to not only enter the competitions but read the magazine as well

Follow The Competition Trail

October 3rd 2009 03:17
More often than not, entering a competition will lead you to even more competitions.

Take She Knows, a site accepting competition entries from US and Canadian residents, for example. Their website currently has over 50 competitions all of which can be entered on an hourly basis. I am of course not condoning entering these competitions every hour, but if one competition stands out and you particularly like the prize, then why not enter twice a day for a week or until the competition closes. Again the more times you enter, the more chances you have to win
